About Kid Express Shuttle
The creation of Kid Express was the
result of a conversation during lunch
with a friend, a working mom in the Real
Estate business, something she got into
in order to have the flexibility to
spend time with her kids. This was my
dream – to be able to balance family
life with work. Having had the
opportunity to be a Stay at home Mom and
loving it; I did not want to give up the
time spent with my baby boy, but I also
wanted to be able to contribute
financially, help others, minimize
mommy-brain, and even set an
entrepreneurial example for my son! My
friend suggested taking kids to/from
school
whose parents are still at work – I
thought, "What a great idea - I can do
that!" Now how to get started?
After doing some research, I found a great company,
My Kid Shuttle, LLC in
Denton, TX, and met with the Owner, Laura Smith. Laura is a woman of great
inspiration and character, who struggled in the same way with work/life balance.
I share with her a desire to help parents who can’t pick up their kids or take
them to activities or practices because they work. I want parents to know where
their children are, that they are safe, and help ease their frustration of
trying to be two places at once. This common desire to create a resource
for parents of safe, reliable, convenient transportation for their children was
the inspiration for Kid Express, LLC Contact Kid
